This summer, chapters from around the globe converged in the vibrant city of Veracruz, Mexico, where the Universidad Veracruzana (UV) graciously hosted the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM). The event took place from June 30th – July 5th and was attended by 30 in-person delegates from 8 chapters, along with 14 online delegates from 3 chapters.

Throughout this engaging week, participants had the opportunity to hear from six exceptional speakers, whose presentations spanned a wide array of topics, including pediatric chiropractic care, spinal conditions, the journey of growing up in chiropractic, and foundational ATM principles, among others.

The conference sparked numerous thought-provoking discussions, such as strategies for enhancing the role of chiropractic students within the World Congress of Chiropractic Students (WCCS) and expanding chiropractic’s role in public health and advocacy.

Attendees were also treated to a guided tour of the Universidad Veracruzana and its medical department, providing a deeper insight into the institution’s facilities and programs. In our leisure time, participants enjoyed a boat tour to the picturesque island of Cancuncito, which included a snorkeling activity. The day concluded with a visit to the Veracruz Aquarium, offering a delightful end to a day of enriching experiences and vibrant interactions.

In summary, this remarkable week provided delegates with ample opportunities to engage in stimulating conversations and foster a deeper appreciation for the concept of ‘unity through diversity’ within the chiropractic profession. Through meaningful dialogues and interactions, participants not only explored diverse perspectives but also strengthened their understanding of how embracing different viewpoints can enhance the chiropractic field as a whole. The experience underscored the importance of collaborative growth and mutual respect, reinforcing the shared commitment to advancing the profession globally.

We must extend our heartfelt thanks to the members of the UV chapter and the Board of Directors, whose dedication and hard work were instrumental in making this event a success. Their meticulous planning and unwavering support ensured that every aspect of the event went smoothly, creating an enriching experience for all delegates. Without their commitment and effort, this remarkable event would not have been possible.
