Since welcoming its first students in 1966, the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) has grown rapidly. With five faculties and over 27,000 students, including 20% international, SDU ranks among world’s top fifty fifty young universities and is recognized for conducting high-caliber research according to several international assessments. In 1994, SDU introduced a bachelor's degree in chiropractic, now part of a fully state-funded five-year program leading to a master's degree in clinical biomechanics. The program includes diagnostics, disorders of the extremities, interdisciplinary management, exercise theory, applied research, and a five-month hospital internship at a specialized hospital for back pain patients, supporting the interprofessional work between MDs, DCs and PTs. Graduates must complete a one-year postgraduate course for full authorization to practice in Denmark.

Founded in 2009, the Barcelona College of Chiropractic was established with the vision of creating a leading chiropractic institution in Europe. BCC was the first chiropractic college in Spain and has since grown to become an internationally recognized center for chiropractic education. The college was born out of a collaboration between chiropractic professionals, educators, and researchers who sought to provide high-quality chiropractic education in line with international standards. Over the years, BCC has developed a comprehensive curriculum, accredited by the ECCE, that integrates the principles of chiropractic care with the latest advancements in health sciences. Our faculty comprises experienced practitioners and renowned academics who bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the classroom. The college has also established strong partnerships with healthcare institutions and professional organizations, enhancing the learning experience and providing students with valuable networking opportunities.

Since 1965, Switzerland includes chiropractic services in basic health insurance. Recognized in 2006 as one of five medical professions with university training, the first chiropractic education program was launched in 2008. The initial four years cover the entire curriculum of regular human medicine studies, with additional chiropractic courses. From the fifth year, specialized teachings in chiropractic medicine dominate. The curriculum is based on evidence-based practice and encourages interprofessional collaboration. UZH first joined the WCCS in 2019.

McTimoney College was founded by John McTimoney in 1972 as the Oxfordshire School of Chiropractic and has since trained chiropractic professionals for over 50 years. The College offers a Master of Chiropractic (MCiro) program as well as postgraduate programs awarded by the prestigious public and british Ulster University . The institution has campuses in Oxford, Manchester, Madrid and, as of September 2023, in Hong Kong, providing its community of students with a more diverse and global education, as well as the opportunity to work in a variety of different environments and cultures.

Nestled in the north of Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital, lies The Scotland College of Chiropractic—a college created by the profession, for the profession. Privately funded, the institution opened its doors in September 2023 and offers a full-time, four-year Integrated Masters in Chiropractic (MChiro). The College delivers a dynamic, purpose-driven programme focused on academic, clinical, and research excellence in the field of Chiropractic. With a strong emphasis on producing practice-ready graduates, SCC provides students with a comprehensive curriculum and a rigorous clinical internship. In 2025, SCC proudly became a member of the WCCS.
